Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear Candling Add-on.

Ear candling is generally safe when performed by trained practitioners. It is not recommended for people with perforated eardrums, recent ear surgery, severe allergies, or young children. Disclose medical history so we can assess suitability and ensure safe, comfortable treatment.

The add-on usually takes 20–30 minutes including consultation, preparation, and both ears treated. Timing varies with individual needs and whether you combine it with another service; your practitioner will explain steps and expected duration before starting.

Many clients experience removal of soft wax and debris, but candling is not guaranteed for deeply impacted or calcified wax. We assess each ear and may recommend medical removal by an ENT if candling is unlikely to help.

The warmth and herbal aromas can temporarily open sinus passages and ease congestion from colds or seasonal allergies for many clients. Results vary; candling should complement, not replace, allergy treatments or medical care when symptoms persist.

Most clients feel relaxed with no lasting effects; temporary warmth, mild ear sensitivity, or lightened sinus pressure can occur. Rarely, irritation or increased congestion happens. Report discomfort immediately so your practitioner can adjust or stop treatment.

Avoid inserting anything into your ears beforehand and skip heavy ear drops the day of treatment. Arrive relaxed, hydrated, and inform us of recent ear issues or surgeries. Allow extra time if combining with other services.
