Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear Candling.

Generally considered safe when performed by a trained practitioner, but not recommended for people with perforated eardrums, ear tubes, active infections, recent ear surgery, or severe allergies. We screen clients and require consultation for children, pregnant people, or those with medical concerns.

A full appointment lasts about 30–45 minutes, including intake, consultation, and both-ear treatment. The candle stage typically takes 10–20 minutes per ear depending on buildup. Time may vary for children or clients requiring extra assessment.

Ear candling uses gentle thermal and airflow effects to loosen and draw softened wax and debris toward the candle opening. Many clients report noticeable removal and relief, though results vary. We combine assessment and safe technique to maximize gentle, natural clearance.

Many clients notice clearer hearing immediately if wax or debris caused blockage. However, improvement depends on blockage severity and underlying conditions. Some people need follow-up sessions or medical evaluation for persistent hearing issues. We recommend post-treatment assessment and referrals when necessary.

Side effects are usually mild: temporary warmth, slight waxy residue, or brief itching. Rare risks include burns, ear canal irritation, or increased symptoms if performed improperly. We follow strict safety protocols, pre-screening and proper technique to minimize risks and ensure client comfort.

Arrive with clean hair and avoid using ear drops or irrigating ears within 24 hours. Remove earrings and inform us about recent ear issues, surgeries, or medications. Plan for a 30–45 minute appointment and communicate any discomfort during the procedure for immediate adjustments.
