Get answers to common questions about Reflexology Massage - 30 mins.
During a 30-minute Reflexology Massage, your specialist will briefly consult, then apply gentle pressure to feet, hands, and ears. Expect focused, calming work, possible tingling or warmth, and immediate relaxation. You’ll be encouraged to drink water afterward to support circulation.
Reflexology can be safe during pregnancy, but we recommend medical clearance and notifying your therapist. Some reflex points are avoided in early pregnancy; after the first trimester, treatments are typically adapted for comfort and safety, with gentle pressure and careful positioning.
Frequency depends on goals: weekly sessions help acute issues, biweekly supports maintenance, and monthly visits preserve balance. For chronic conditions we recommend an initial series of four to six sessions, then reassess to tailor timing to your response and needs.
Most clients experience no serious effects. Temporary sensations like mild soreness, warmth, increased urination, or lightheadedness can occur as circulation shifts. If you feel significant discomfort or prolonged symptoms, stop treatment and inform your therapist or healthcare provider immediately.
Arrive hydrated and avoid heavy meals immediately before your session. A light snack is fine. Mild activity is okay beforehand, but avoid vigorous exercise right before or after treatment to allow relaxation and proper circulation benefits to take effect.
Reflexology can complement chronic pain management by reducing muscle tension and improving circulation. Individual results vary; it’s best used alongside medical care, physical therapy, or other treatments. We’ll create a plan and monitor progress to determine how reflexology supports your specific pain goals.
